A Strong Sellers’ Market

Currently, San Diego is experiencing a strong sellers’ market. But what exactly does that mean? A sellers’ market occurs when there are more buyers than available properties, which is the case right now in San Diego. This market condition typically leads to higher prices, quicker sales, and often multiple offers on a single property, giving sellers an advantage during negotiations.

The real estate market in San Diego is as varied as its neighborhoods. Whether you're looking for a beachfront property, a downtown condo, or a family home in a quiet suburb, understanding the current market dynamics is crucial. As of April 2024, with a strong sellers’ market, it is an opportune time for sellers to list their properties. Buyers, while facing higher prices and competition, can still find good investments with the right guidance.

For both buyers and sellers, working with a knowledgeable local agent can make navigating the San Diego real estate market much smoother. As someone who has dedicated over three decades to understanding this market, I am here to help you make informed decisions whether you are buying or selling.
