Bonita is located in South Bay San Diego. Bonita has a land mass of just over 5 square miles. In the Spanish language Bonita means beautiful and was the name of an old ranch owned by Henry Cooper in the mid 1800’s. Bonita is an old San Diego County town and has lots of history. Make sure you visit the Bonita Museum & Cultural Center located at 4355 Bonita Road, Bonita, CA 91902.

Bonita is located off of the 805 at the Bonita Road exit. The vast majority of Bonita is east of the 805 and is south of the 54 South Bay Freeway. There are 2 really good golf courses in the area, Chula Vista Golf Course off of Bonita Road at the intersection of Otay Lakes Road. The other golf course is the Bonita Golf Course on Sweetwater Road. I’ve played golf at these 2 courses for many years and both of them are on my favorites list. 5 Star all the way!

Bonita is south of Paradise Hills, north of Rancho Del Rey, east of old Chula Vista and west of San Miguel Ranch. There are many nice neighborhoods here and lots of older ranch style homes on 1 acre plus lots. This is horse country so there are lots of horse properties, horse trails and boarding.

Clairemont Summer Nights July 2016

Tonight, July 22, 2016, is the Clairemont Summer Night’s Concert and Movies under the Stars. This event will be located at The Madison High School Baseball Field at 4833 Doliva Drive, San Diego, CA 92117. This Clairemont community event will include food, music and a movie. The Band will be Old Skool Rock & Roll Band and the Movie will be Zootopia. The event starts at 6:00 PM with the movie beginning at 8:15 PM. The event is sponsored by Sundown Outdoor Movies and is sure to be a great Clairemont Community hit!

It should be a warm night in Clairemont so dress cool and drink lots of fluids.
