Carlsbad Flower Fields Flower Fields in Carlsbad

This past mother’s day, May 8, 2016, we decided to stop by the Carlsbad Flower Fields in North County Coastal San Diego. Many other San Diego moms had the same idea because traffic to the Flower Fields started at the Palomar Airport Road exit off of the 5. Parking was a little hard to find but I was lucky and was able to get a spot as someone was leaving right by the entrance.

We checked out the Armstrong Nursery that’s at the entrance next to the parking lot and looked at some of the flowers and plants that they had for sale. They had a very nice selection and they always seem to have some species that I’ve never seen before. Some pretty cool stuff, if you like flowers.Carlsbad CA Flower Fields

I paid for tickets to get all 5 of us into the Flower Fields in Carlsbad and we went in. The tickets were $14 each.  It was very crowded but because the fields are so big there was plenty of room for everyone to spread out. We started off by checking out all of the beautiful roses. There were so many different colors and fragrances in the rose gardens. They had a Bonsai Tree exhibit that was very cool. We wondered around all of the flower beds looking at all the different flowers that were on display. We then walked up to the fields to see that thousands of ranunculus flowers that made a beautiful see of color.

We walked up and took lots of pictures of the ranunculus flower fields. It was a great day and lots of fun. The ranunculus flowers were so beautiful and who knew there were so many different colors.
