Pacific Beach in San Diego California is by far the most popular beach in San Diego. Pacific Beach or “PB” as San Diegans call it is a great beach community that’s very young and hip with miles of beach coastline and a great beach town to shop and dine. Pacific Beach has many little beach town neighborhoods within its borders. Some of the Pacific Beach 92109 Neighborhoods are North Pacific Beach, Pacifica, Pacific Beach, East Pacific Beach, Crown Point, and Mission Beach. Many people that move to San Diego make their first residence in Pacific Beach over other San Diego Communities. Its hip, its fun, and it is on the beach, perfect San Diego location.
The History of modern day Pacific Beach began in 1885 when the Transcontinental Railroad reached San Diego and Pacific Beach. The railroad company and the Chamber of Commerce started marketing the Pacific Beach area which caused a large migration to San Diego and Pacific Beach.
Real estate became available in the form of lots in the Mission Bay area of Pacific Beach at the time known as False Bay. This was in December of 1887 and history showed it was a very successful real estate boom. The railroad continued on into La Jolla in 1894. Pacific beach was primarily a small town farming community growing mostly lemons until the early 1900´s.
Over the years Pacific Beach has seen major growth but still has that old San 
Diego beach town feel. Some of the major attractions in Pacific Beach are the Pacific Ocean and the beach, Crystal Pier, the boardwalk, Kate O. Sessions Park and Belmont Beachfront Amusement Park with its Giant Dipper Roller Coaster.
Real estate in Pacific Beach varies widely from ocean front to bay front and from flat land walking distance to the beach to the foothills of La Jolla. There is a wide variety of detached homes and condos in Pacific Beach.
