Chula Vista Homes Affordable Again

The first home I bought in San Diego County was in Chula Vista in EastLake Greens. It was in the lat 90’s about 10 years ago. I thought at first that the commute to Eastern Chula Vista was too far and I wasn’t sure if I wanted to make the commute to work every day. I looked in many other areas of San Diego EastLake PoolCounty but couldn’t find a better value for my money than a home in EatLake. It could have been any one of the many EastLakes or Otay Ranch or Rolling Hills Ranch. They were all up and coming communities in Chula Vista and they were priced very affordably. One of the things I really liked about the EastLake Community were the parks and community design that was very friendly to walking, jogging and biking with many open space areas. The community pools were incredible for a mere $75 a month HOA fee.

The first home that I bought in EastLake Greens was under $200,000 in the late 1990’s and in the peak of the San Diego Real Estate Boom of around 2005-2006 time frame they were selling at about $550,000. That’s a huge jump in a short period of time. Now that same floor plan is on the market for $320,000 and has the potential to drop even further. The silver lining to all this is that Chula Vista is affordable again and that has many buyers flocking to the area to buy a home or condo again. EastLake has been voted the Best EastLake Woods PoolMaster Planned Community in all of San Diego County for 10 years strait. When buyers visit the EastLake area of Chula Vista they fall in love with it.

Chula Vista started out as an affordable community in San Diego County and is affordable again. If you are interested in buying a home in Chula Vista, EastLake, Otay Ranch, Rolling Hills Ranch, San Miguel Ranch, Bella Lago, Windingwalk, Sunbow or any of the other Chula Vista Communities call us right away.
