Frog Tape Painters Tape
Most people, especially homeowners, have painted at least once before. Usually after buying a home the new homeowner wants to paint some areas of the house to the colors that suits their fancy. Now if you’re a couple this can sometimes test the strength of your relationship or marriage because you will find that most couples have a
completely different idea of what color to paint the room. In my case I’ve learned to just let my wife pick the color and I have the joy of actually being the one who paints. We’ve worked it out over many years of trial and error and found that this solution works best.
When I paint, since I’m just an amateur, I always seem to mess up where the wall meets the ceiling or the wall meets the molding or doors. I just can’t seem to get a clean line of separation between where the two paint colors meet. There always seems to be paint bleed from my new paint job into the existing paint. And if I’m going to paint I want it to look really good once it’s done.
I went by Home Depot to get some supplies; rollers, paint brushes and painters tape. I asked the Home Depot employee which tape would be the best for blocking the paint that always seems to seep under the tape and ruin my clean paint lines. She said use the Frog Tape. So I did.
I was very pleased with this product. I taped up a hallway and a bedroom and started painting. After 2 coats and a few hours of drying I couldn’t wait to see the results. I wasn’t disappointed. There was no paint seepage and the lines were well defined and clean. The only issue I had was that I didn’t tape the ceiling exact enough to get a consistent and even paint line due to the fact that when I taped the ceiling I couldn’t place the tape exactly at the point where the wall and ceiling meet. It was close but not perfect. There’s always room for a better job next time.
My conclusion was that I like Frog Tape and would recommend it to anyone painting their house. If you just purchased a new home or getting your home ready for sale with a fresh paint job this is a good tool to have in your toolbox.
